Securing a place in top governance, City students shine in UPSC results

While the results of Union Public Service Commission are out, waves of happiness and celebration can be seen across the nation. Amid this, Chandigarh has got ample reasons to brag about being a hub for IAS aspirants. City has witnessed many toppers. The top amongst all is Utkarsh Duggal, who is presently serving as J&K cadre IPS officer. Duggal has secured 17th rank in Civil Services exam.

Duggal’s family has got this double gratification as Utkarsh’s brother Aniket Duggal has also cracked the exam by securing 26th rank. It shall be noted that both the brothers have done their engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC).

City has got another topper with 48th rank, Vikramaditya Malik who is a presently working as Lawyer in Delhi. Vikramaditya is son of Haryana IAS officer Yudhvir Singh Malik, who is serving in the Central Government as Secretary, Road, Transport and Highways.

Apart from this, Punjab DGP Suresh Arora has another officer in their family as his daughter; Megha Arora has secured 108th rank in civil services exam. Similarly, Shruti Arora (25), daughter of Haryana IAS officer Keshani Anand Arora, a resident of the city, has secured the 118th rank.
