Ewan McGregor join ‘The Shining’ sequel ‘Doctor Sleep’

HOLLYWOOD- Actor Ewan McGregor has been finalized to play Danny Torrance in ‘Doctor Sleep’, sequel of ‘The Shining’.

Doctor Sleep is Stephen King’s 2013 novel which follows the events happened in The Shining published in 1977.

McGregor will play Danny Torrance, an alcoholic like his father Jack Torrance played by Jack Nicholson in The Shining. Danny with the help of his telepathic powers will save a 12 year old girl from a group of near immortal evil beings.

Horror genre specialist Mike Flanagan, known for ‘Oculus’, ‘Hush’ and ‘Gerald’s Game’, will helm the project.

Doctor Sleep is scheduled to be released on January 24, 2020.
