Pakistan's elections oversight body has barred Hafiz Saeed-backed party from taking part in the elections.

It rejected a request from the party to be a part of the Pakistani elections.

Under Pakistani law, all parties must get clearance from the commission to participate in elections.

The Milli Muslim League has the backing of Hafiz Saeed, who carries a $10 million United States bounty on his head for his alleged involvement in 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai in which 166 people lost their lives.
