Sidhu’s Wife and son say no to the assigned posts

After much hype was created by the opposition on the appointment of Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu and his son Karan Sidhu at assigned posts in the Punjab Government, Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu had to face the allegations by SAD. Succumbing to the public pressure, Sidhu finally announced that his wife and son have declined the offer as they were not interested in the posts given to them.

It shall be noted that, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife was assigned the post of Chairperson, Punjab Warehousing Corporation in April by Captain Amarinder Singh led government in Punjab. While his son, Karan Sidhu was given the charge of as an assistant advocate general by the state government when three additional, 14 assistant and 11 deputy advocate generals were appointed to its list of lawyers in the Advocate General’s Office for defending its cases in the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Supreme Court.

Following this, the opposition starting attacking the local minister and the Congress government. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia attacked by saying that under Captain Amarinder Singh’s Ghar Ghar Naukri promise, nobody got any job except local bodies minister Navjot Sidhu’s family.
