DUBAI- An Iranian court has sentenced eight men to death over attacks at the parliament and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s mausoleum last year that killed 18 people.
The sentence could be appealed in Iran’s Supreme Court.
The attacks were one of the first carried by Islamic State in Iran. 18 other suspects still face charges over the attacks, according to state media.
Musa Ghazanfarabadi, head of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court said victims’ families have also filed claims against United States and Saudi Arabia for supporting IS.
