Sinclair Computer designer Rick Dickinson dies in US

TECHNOLOGY- Rick Dickinson, British industrial designer who developed Sinclair computer designs, has died in Texas, USA while receiving treatment for cancer.

A spokesman as Dickinson Associates confirmed he died earlier this week on April 24.

Mr Dickinson was responsible for the boxy look of the ZX80 and ZX81 and the Bauhaus-inspired appearance of the Spectrum.

He also developed the technologies for the UK company's touch-sensitive and rubber keyboards.
