GAZA- The convoy of Palestinian Prime Minister, Rami Hamdallah, was targeted during his Gaza visit on Tuesday (March 13), the Palestinian Authority said.

Mr Hamdallah escaped the blast unhurt but several other people were injured.

Minutes after the blast, Mr Hamdallah delivered a speech at the inauguration of a waste treatment plant in the Gaza Strip. He said in the speech that three cars were damaged in the blast.

His rare visit to Gaza strip was cut short after the blast.

President Mahmoud Abbas has held militant group Hamas, which dominates Gaza, responsible for the attack but abstained from directly blaming them.
