NYT article mistakenly refers to Great Recession as slithering snake

TECHNOLOGY- The New York Times in an online article mistakenly referred to the Great Recession as "the time of shedding and cold rocks".

The newspaper later corrected the error blaming a satirical text-swapping web browser extension for substituting the words.

Coder Eric Bailey had created a Millennials to Snake People add-on for Google's Chrome browser and would change the term "millennials" to "snake people" in news articles and on websites.

The mistake appeared in an article fact-checking President Donald Trump's claims on trade deficits.
