TECHNOLOGY- Facebook is testing a new "downvote" button that will allow users to hide comments and provide feedback about them. The feature is currently being tried out by a small number if US users.
Facebook confirmed the news to Tech Crunch saying, "We are exploring a feature for people to give us feedback about comments on public page posts. This is running for a small set of people in the US only."
Facebook has also confirmed that the downvote button is not a dislike button and it only allows a user to hide a selective comment and then they can flag the post as "offensive", "misleading" or "off-topic".
