The PUCSC President Jashan Kamboj has firmly taken the stand of the victim and held that he will personally appeal the authorities to compensate the loss and in case PU authorities fail to do that, the Student council will itself bear all the loss. All the members of the council were jointly supporting the victim. The Joint Secretary Karan Randhawa Saroopwali held that the poor and old wiring of girls hostel no 3 might have caused the fire. However, he said that whatever will be the cause, the students will be compensated.

However, Vani Sood was concerned about the safety and security of girls and held that the PUCSC will sure that another permanent accommodation is provided to the affected students at the earliest. The problem of hostel accommodation is already a major concern as there are hardly any vacant rooms in any hostel.
