HOLLYWOOD- Actor Mark Whalberg on Saturday agreed to donate the $1.5 million he got for the reshoot of All the Money in the World to Time's Up campaign.
There was a huge public outcry when it was revealed that Wahlberg got more than a million to reshoot the movie's scenes while Michelle Williams' got only a few thousand dollars, though she clarified she herself had refused to be paid.
“I 100% support the fight for fair pay,” Wahlberg said in a statement.
“Today isn’t about me,” Williams said in a statement sent to USA TODAY. “My fellow actresses stood by me and stood up for me, my activist friends taught me to use my voice, and the most powerful men in charge, they listened and they acted. If we truly envision an equal world, it takes equal effort and sacrifice.”
Time's Up Campaign has ben initiated by 300 powerful women in Hollywood to fight the sexual harassment prevalent in the industry.
