FOOTBALL- An investigation has been opened to find out whether the deal to sell Italian club AC Milan to Chinese investors last year was fuelled by money laundering, La Stampa reported on Saturday.

Milan prosecutors want to know if the €740 million ($786 million) paid to Silvio Berlusconi to buy out the club was overvalued.

Milan were sold on April 13 last year to  a Chinese investors' group led by Li Yonghong.
