Australian residents cautioned to take shelter amidst cyclone warnings

Communities in Australia's north-west are preparing themselves for a tropical cyclone.

Cyclone Joyce, currently a category one system, is due to make landfall near Broome in Western Australia on Friday.

The authorities told local residents to secure their homes and take shelter.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the cyclone is tracking south and is predicted to bring winds of up to 100km/h (62mph).
