Tricity Techies on Cloud nine, Toppers eyeing Top IIMs

Tricity Students leave no stone unturned to leave their mark among the city’s hardworking personalities as far as any competitive exam is concerned. Starting from NEET, IIT-JEE, CAT to any exam in banking, teaching or in any sector, city students have added many feathers in city’s cap. This time the results of one of the toughest examination, CAT 2017 stunned the city in which students have fared extremely well and brought laurels to the city. Among the 20 candidates who have secured 100 percentile, Chandigarh boy Pramod Beri is one of them.

It is notable to mention that Combined Admission Test (CAT) exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The CAT scores are used for admission to various management institutes across the country. Pramod Beri, who basically hails from Phagwara, did his schooling from a convent school in Phagwara. He had a strong hold on Accounts and he did exceptionally well in class 12. Coming from a business family, Beri is a B.Com. final year student at GGDSD College Sector 32 Chandigarh. Beri also took coaching from Times Institute, sector 8 Chandigarh before actually appearing for the exam.

Besides Beri, another aspirant Vipul Kukkar, PEC Graduate who hails from Jalalabad West, Distt Fazilka missed the 100 percentile bracket just by 1 point and secured 99.9 percentile. It is notable to mention that Vipul is presently working as a Business Analyst at EXL, a Gurgaon based firm. He has also worked as a teacher at Chandigarh based Institute Bullseye. Also, according to the lists compiled by coaching institutes Times and Bulls Eye, boys have outdone the girls with 14 as compared to two in top 1%.
