Boat capsizes in Arabian sea, 13 dead

SINDH- According to the officials, on Thursday, at least 13 people lost their lives and more than 20 were missing after two passenger boats collided in the sea off southern Pakistan.

District official Mirza Nasir Baig said that the boats carrying more than 60 people in total, were ferrying passengers to visit a popular Sufi Muslim shrine in the Sindh province when they collided and overturned in heavy winds near the ancient city of Thatta.

He said that 13 people were killed including women and children, and 20 others were rescued.

Provincial officials called for rescuers to rush to find any other survivors before nightfall.
