OLYMPICS- A day after Russia was banned from participating in the 2018 Winter Olympic games, Russian president Vladimir Putin has made it clear that they won't boycott the prestigious event.
International Olympic Committee (IOC) handed the ban on Tuesday because of wide spread state sponsored terrorism in Russia.
“We will certainly not declare any boycott, we will not prevent our Olympians from competing, if they want to take part in a personal capacity,” Putin said.
“The final decision of course must be made by the Olympic team,” he said.
IOC has also allowed clean Russian athletes to compete under an Olympic flag.
