During a Congress hearing, US Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, revoked meetings with Russian officials at a Washington DC hotel.
America's top law official also told the Senate Intelligence Committee any suggestion he conspired with the Kremlin was "an appalling and detestable lie".
Sessions also did not answer the questions about his private conversations with the president.
He pledged to safeguard his honour "against scurrilous and false allegations".
Sessions' remarks came after expelled FBI Chief, James Comey said he believed he was fired to influence the agency's probe into Russian political interference.
"I have never met with or had any conversation with any Russians or any foreign officials concerning any type of interference with any campaign or election in the United States," Sessions said on Tuesday.
