American plane maker Boeing stopped the test flight of its new commercial airplane 737 MAX after some possible problems with a part of engine came to light. CFM, the company that is making the engines for 737 MAX notified Boeing of some potential manufacturing issues which led to the postponement.
Not deterred by the delay in the delivering of the plane to the customers, Boeing says it will go ahead with the deliveries later this month and production will continue too. Among the buyers, American Airlines, Southwest; Indian Airlines SpiceJet and China's Shandong Airlines are the prominent ones.
The new model will replace Boeing's previous 737 workhorse model which has been the major source of revenue for the aerospace giant.
