World Wrestling C’ships: Bajrang Punia, Ravi Kumar book Olympic spots, to fight for bronze

WRESTLING- After Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Ravi Kumar have also sealed their 2020 Tokyo Olympic berths.

They both won their respective quarter-final bouts to secure the berths. Though both later lost their semi-final bouts, they are still in contention for bronze medals and will wrestle for the same on Friday.

Top seed Punia lost based on criteria (one four-point move) 9-9 in the 65kg semifinals to Kazakhstan’s Daulet Niyazbekov. In the 57kg semi-finals, Dahiya went down fighting 3-6 against Zavur Uguev of Russia.
