HOLLYWOOD- American entertainment conglomerate Disney has signed a deal to take over most of the iconic Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, UK for at least a decade.
Pinewood is famously the home of James Bond. Daniel Craig’s upcoming film No Time to Die has been recently filmed there. Disney is leasing 20 stages plus other facilities.
"They've been making great films with us for many years and the fact they want to shoot so many more here is testimony not only to the quality of the teams and infrastructure at Pinewood, but also to the British film industry as a whole," said Pinewood Group chairman Paul Golding about Disney.
Two months ago, Netflix had announced that it had taken a long term lease at Pinewood’s Shepperton Studios.
