NEW MEXICO- A Burger King chain in New Mexico has sacked five of its employees for playing a derogatory prank on a police officer.

New Mexico police officer Timo Rosenthal shared a photo on his Facebook page that showed a cartoon pig drawn on a wrapper in which burger was served to him.

The employees also served him with burnt patties and a very quality burger.

A spokesperson for Burger King termed the incident as “unacceptable and not in line with our brand values.”

He also said the restaurant owner reached out to Mr Rosenthal and apologized to him.

The restaurant is now offering free meals to uniformed officers to make up for the incident.
