TENNIS- Spaniard world number two Rafael Nadal has pulled out of Cincinnati Open citing fatigue after winning the Rogers Cup on Sunday.

Nadal beat Russian Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 6-0 to win his 35th Masters ATP title. It was the fifth time (2005, 2008, 2013, 2018) the World No. 2 has hoisted the trophy in Canada.

After giving the Cincinnati Open a miss, Nadal will directly compete at the season's fourth and final Grand Slam, the US Open, which begins on 26 August.
