MAJORCA- Two Irish teenagers aged 18 were arrested for trying to pay for their drinks at a popular pub on Spanish island of Majorca with Monopoly style fake banknotes.

The teens found fake notes on the floor of the bar located in Punta Ballena, Magaluf. Despite being clearly marked not for payment, the duo decided to pay for their drinks with the money.

A waitress who was serving the pair alerted the manager who called the police over.

The teens were arrested on charges of “non-serious” fraud and presented before a judge. They were later released when nothing else was found suspicious.
