A mysterious new species of lizard has been discovered inside the remains of a 125 million year old flying dinosaur.

According to the Natural History Museum, Microraptors, small flying dinosaur, lived between 125 and 122 million years ago.

As per the findings published in Current Biology, the lizard species Indrasaurus Wangi named after ancient Hindu god Indra was swallowed whole, head first, by the microraptor.

The researchers' find was led by Professor Jingmai O'Connor from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
