Chelsea appoints Frank Lampard as new head coach on three year deal

FOOTBALL- Premier League club Chelsea has announced the appointment of Frank Lampard as its new head coach for the next three seasons.

Lampard will replace Maurizio Sarri at the helm who left to join Italian giant Juventus last month.

“One of the greatest players in our history during his long and illustrious career, Lampard returns to Stamford Bridge having signed a three-year contract,” the club statement read.

Lampard spent 13 years at Chelsea and won three Premier League titles, one Champions League, four FA Cups and two League Cup trophies.
