HOLLYWOOD- A statue of Hollywood beauty Marilyn Monroe which used to sit atop the Ladies of Hollywood Gazebo on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was stolen earlier this week.

The statue shows the actress in her iconic windblown dress pose from 1955's The Seven Year Itch.

As per reports, a witness saw a man climb the Eiffel Tower-shaped structure late on Sunday, June 16. The man used a saw to remove the statue at around 3 am on Monday.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that the investigators did recover some prints from the crime scene but no one has been arrested.

The statue was perched along with statues of other Hollywood actresses including Mae West, Anna Mae Wong, Dolores Del Rio and Dorothy Dandridge.
