Sports apparel giant Nike has introduced plus size mannequins at its outlet on Oxford Street in London to promote body positivity and emphasize on inclusivity and diversity of sports.
The plus size mannequins, both male and female, can be seen sporting activewear. The female mannequin has been dressed in a sports bra and slacks.
While many praised Nike for its unique way to fight body shaming, many others thought the plus size mannequins are promoting obesity.
Nike is also planning to shed light on the inclusivity of sports by shifting the spotlight to various sports and even grassroots level athletes.
