ATHLETICS- Poland’s sports minister Witold Banka has been recommended for the post of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) president.

Banka, 34, has been recommended for the post by members of the Public Authorities, a panel of government members who help choose WADA chiefs in a special meeting in Montreal.

Current WADA president Craig Reedie is due to step down in December after completing his two year term.

WADA rotates its presidency between representatives from the international sports bodies (the International Olympic Committee and federations) and governments.
