CRICKET- Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Monday once again lamented the omission of Rishabh Pant from India’s World Cup squad and said that the young wicketkeeper will be sorely missed.
Indian selectors picked experienced Dinesh Kartik instead of Pant as the second wicketkeeper apart from Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
“India will miss Pant in the World Cup. I don’t know in whose place but he will be missed,” Ganguly said.
Pant had a stunning Indian Premier League (IPL) season where he amassed 88 runs from 16 matches at an average of 37.53 and with a strike rate of 162.66.
