CRICKET- Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was left speechless after batting legend Sachin Tendulkar called him the best bowler in the world.
Sachin bestowed the title on Bumrah after he guided Mumbai Indians (MI) to a fourth Indian Premier League (IPL) title win on Sunday night.
Bumrah returned with a remarkable figure of 2 for 14 in 4 overs in the final against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He gave away only 4 runs in the 17th over and 5 runs in the 9th over.
“Let me go on record and say that he (Jasprit Bumrah) is the best bowler in the world at this stage and the best is yet to come hopefully,” Tendulkar said after the win.
Replying to Tendulkar’s comments, Bumrah said, “I am speechless thank you Sachin sir.”
Bumrah ended this IPL edition with 19 wickets from 16 matches with an impressive economy rate of 6.63 and was adjudged Man of the Match on Sunday.
