CRICKET- Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is on cloud nine after winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Mumbai Indians on Sunday night. MI defeated defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a thrilling final to claim their fourth IPL title.
Pandya’s IPL stats are extremely impressive. He scored 402 runs at a strike rate of 191 plus and took 14 wickets apart from 11 catches.
Pandya has now set his eyes on the World Cup which starts in England and Wales on May 30.
“I played well this season, but now time to move on. I want to lift that World Cup trophy as well,” Hardik said after the win.
The Indian team will leave for the World Cup on May 22. India start their campaign against South Africa on June 5.
