CRICKET- The Afghanistan Cricket Board has decided to shift the team’s home ground from Dehradun to Lucknow.

The Afghan national team does not play its matches in its native land because of security concerns and inadequate facilities.

As of now, Dehradun’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium was Afghanistan’s home ground but the board has decided to shift because of lack of a five-star hotel in the city.

Lucknow’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium will be the team’s new adopted home and will give Lucknowites chance to see Tests, one-dayers and T20s involving Afghanistan and other Test playing nations.

Afghani players will have a great time in Lucknow as the city has a Nawabi culture and is famous for its food especially kebabs and biryani.
