BADMINTON- Indian ace PV Sindhu crashed out of Malaysian Open on Thursday following a straight set 21-18, 21-7 loss to South Korean shuttler Sung Ji Hyun in the second round.
This was Sindhu’s third successive defeat against the former world No 2.
In the men’s singles, former world number one Kidambi Srikanth advanced to the next round with a 21-11, 21-15 win over Khosit Phetpradab in just 32 minutes. Srikanth is next up against Chen Long.
In the mixed doubles, Indian pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy were ousted in three games by Malaysian pair Tan Kian Meng and Lai Pei Jing. They lost 15-21, 21-17, 21-13 in 57 minutes.
