FOOTBALL- Eric Harrison, former youth coach of Manchester United’s class of 92’, has died at the age of 81. He passed away on Wednesday.
Harrison was diagnosed with dementia four years ago. He became so ill that he could not even travel to London last year to receive an award from the queen.
He was instrumental in shaping the careers of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Butt, Scholes and the Neville Brothers.
“We’ve lost our mentor, our coach and the man who made us,” Gary Neville tweeted.
Beckham paid tribute: “He was always watching and always with us every time we played. I can still hear him telling me NO MORE HOLLYWOOD PASSES.”
“We won’t forget the life lessons he gave us. Eric we love you and owe you everything. Gary, Phil, Ryan, Paul, Nicky and David.”
