Bengal pacer Ashok Dinda hit on head, advised rest after CT scan

CRICKET- Bengal pacer Ashok Dinda was struck on head with a ball during Bengal’s Twenty20 practice match at Eden Gardens today.

The incident took place when batsman Birender Vivek Singh hit straight and Dinda attempted the catch on his follow through but it slipped from his hand and hit his forehead.

Dinda completed the over and was later taken for scans as a precautionary measure. He is now fine and has been advised rest for two days.

Bengal is all set to start its Twenty20 season against Mizoram in their group D fixture at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on February 21.
