CRICKET- India on Sunday lost the third and final T20I against New Zealand at Hamilton to concede the series 2-1.
But the outcome could have been different had Dinesh Karthik not denied a single run to Krunal Pandya in the last over.
India needed 16 runs in the last over to win the match and the series but Karthik did not rotate the strike and instead settled for a dot ball. Though he hit a six on the last ball, it was not enough to ensure win and India lost the match by 4 runs.
Criticising Karthik, Harbhajan said the wicketkeeper batsman should have taken that single.
“This last T20I could have gone either way and any team could have won but a little mistake from Dinesh Karthik that he did not take that single and may be we could have won this game too.”
Harbhajan also said the tour of Australia and New Zealand brought a lot of positives for team India and they have definitely gained from it.
