CRICKET- Australian bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile was taken to hospital on Saturday after he suffered a bout of vertigo during a Big Bash League match.
Perth Scorchers’ Nathan, 31, was bowling fifth ball of his final over against the Adelaide Strikers when he was suddenly gripped with vertigo. He delivered the last ball with difficulty and immediately sunk to his haunches, calling for medical attention.
He kept on sitting on the ground for a while and then was able to walk from the field unassisted.
The Scorchers physio Chris Quinnell said, “He was taken to hospital after the game as a precaution and will be monitored over the next few hours."
Nile is part of the Australian squad for the India tour to be held later this month.
