SHOOTING- The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) has confirmed that the removal of national junior pistol coach Jaspal Rana from the national camp was the result of a procedural error. Everything has now been resolved and he will soon join the camp.
It was earlier reported that Rana was removed from the camp without any prior notice. His removal had raised serious questions as 2019 ISSF World Cup is just two weeks away.
Revealing the details of the procedural error on Twitter, NRAI President Narendra Batra said the issue has been resolved. It was the result of a communication gap between the junior shooters.
Rana, former Asian Games gold medallist, is now again a part of the camp. He has not responded to his reinstatement but had expressed sadness when the news of his removal was announced earlier today.
