COPENHAGEN- Six people lost their lives and 16 were injured in a train accident on the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark at about 07:35 local time (06:35 GMT).
A commuter train running from Odense to the capital Copenhagen was struck by a debris from a freight train - possibly a tarpaulin and was brought to a standstill.
There were 131 passengers and three crew members on board at the time of the accident. Around 100 passengers are still trapped on board.
Denmark Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen expressed shock over the accident and said the accident left all of them shaken.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven also expressed his sympathies to his Danish counterpart.
