Gautam Gambhir given the guard of honour during Ranji Trophy match

CRICKET- Senior Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir who has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and is playing his last match was given a guard of honour by Andhra cricketers during the Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Andhra Pradesh today.

In the Ranji match, Andhra Pradesh batting first put 390 runs on board. Gambhir and Hiten Dalal then provide a solid start to Delhi and added 108 runs for the opening wicket in 15.6 overs. After Dalal’s departure, Gambhir is on pitch with Dhruv Shorey.

Gambhir last played for India in December 2016. In his illustrated career, Gambhir was part of Indian squad which won the T20 as well as the ODI World Cup under MS Dhoni's captaincy.
