CRICKET- Indian cricket team’s rising star Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of the opening test at Adelaide Oval starting December 6 with an ankle injury.
Shaw rolled over his left ankle while fielding during the 15th over of Cricket Australia XI’s innings at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He was carried off the field by two members of the Indian support staff.
A BCCI press release said Shaw has suffered a lateral ligament injury and will be unable to take part in the first Test. He will undergo a rehabilitation program and will be available for selection at the earliest, BCCI added.
