CRICKET- Cricket Australia (CA) has named Earl Eddings, a director of a risk-management company, as its new permanent chairman.

Eddings will replace David Peever who quit under intense pressure following the ball tampering scandal.

“I am honoured to serve in this position and am committed to making cricket stronger and a game that we can all be proud of,” Eddings said.

Ex-captain Mark Taylor and CA director and ex-fast bowler Michael Kasprowicz was overlooked for the role.
