India refuse to play in Pakistan citing security concerns

CRICKET- India will not travel to Pakistan to take part in Asian Emerging Nations Cup and instead will play all its matches in Sri Lanka.

Asian Emerging Nations Cricket Cup features emerging talents from Asian countries. The tournament is scheduled to be held in December.

Bangladesh, UAE and Hong Kong are grouped with Pakistan for the Karachi leg of the Cup from December 4 to 10 while Sri Lanka, India, Afghanistan feature in the other group in Colombo.

A Pakistan Cricket Board official said, “A proper security plan has been prepared for the visiting teams and they will be given top security throughout their stay in Karachi.”

The final is also scheduled to be held in Colombo.
