CRICKET- Indian cricket team led by skipper Virat Kolhi won the Sydney Twenty20 against Australia by six wickets to level the three match series 1-1.
Kohli scored a superb half century to guide his team to the much needed morale boosting win.
Shikhar Dhawan (41 off 22 balls) and Rohit Sharma (23 off 16 balls) provided a great start to Indian chase of the 165 run target. The credit of restricting Australia to 164-6 goes to Krunal Pandya who took his career best figures of 4-36.
Krunal Pandya was given the Man of the Match award while Dhawan took away the Man of the Series title.
Winning captain Kohli said, “Things become pretty easy with those two guys play like that at the top. I think DK showed great composure at the death along with me stringing a partnership to get us home. I think Maxy and Zampa bowled very well. I thought overall, skill wise we were better than Australia. I thought with the ball we were more professional today. I thought it was 180 type of wicket. Those 15 runs less were crucial total. A level series is a great show of how the teams have played."
India-Australia Test series begins on December 6 at Adelaide.
