CRICKET- After Bollywood, the #MeToo campaign has now hit cricket. Sexual harassment accusations have been levelled against former Sri Lankan skipper Arjuna Ranatunga.
An Indian flight attendant has accused Ranatunga, currently Sri Lanka’s Minister of Petroleum Resources Development, of grabbing her by the waist at a Mumbai hotel few years ago.
In her Facebook post, the woman said when she went to complain about the incident, she was told, “It is your private matter.”
Another woman Chinmayi Sripaada who is an Indian playback singer has accused Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga of sexually assaulting her in a Mumbai hotel room.
Both Malinga and Ranatunga have not responded to the allegations.
