Britain would be welcomed to Trans Pacific Partnership: Japan PM

TOKYO- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said Britain would be welcomed into the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal after it leaves the European Union. The UK is due to leave the EU on 29 March 2019.

In an interview with Financial Times, Abe said, “I truly hope that the negative impact of Brexit to the global economy, including Japanese businesses, will be minimised."

The TPP is a trade agreement between 11 countries, including Japan, Canada, Australia and Malaysia. Initiallu US was also part of the deal but Doanld Trump withdrew US after becoming President.
