HOLLYWOOD- Actor Henry Cavill on Thursday responded to rumours that he has quit DC Extended Universe and will no longer player Superman.
The Hollywood Reporter said on Wednesday that Cavill is parting ways with Warner Bros.
On Thursday, Cavill posted a video on Instagram and captioned it “Today was exciting #Superman.”
Later his manager Dany Garcia quashed the rumours and said, “Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet. @wbpictures has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe. Anticipate a WB statement later today.”
Warner Bros also issued a statement clarifying, “We have a great relationship and great respect for Henry Cavill that continues to remain unchanged. Additionally we have made no current decisions regarding any upcoming Superman films.”
Cavill first played the caped crusader in 2013's Man of Steel and then reprised the role in Superman V Batman and last year's Justice League.
