Japan Open: Kidambi Srikanth loses in quarter-final

BADMINTON- Indian campaign at the Japan Open tournament came to end on Friday with the loss of Kidambi Srikanth.

The seventh seeded Srikanth lost 21-19, 16-21, 18-21 to Korea’s Lee Dong Keun in a duel that lasted an hour and 19 minutes.

Olympic medallist and Asian Games silver-medallist PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy had already lost their singles matches on Thursday.

In the men’s doubles too, Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy failed to go past the pre-quarterfinal stage on Thursday.
