Neeraj Chopra will be India’s flag bearer at the Asian Games opening ceremony

ASIAN GAMES- Javelin thrower Neeraj Chosen will be India’s flag bearer at the opening ceremony of 2018 Asian Games.

Chopra, 20, is the reigning Commonwealth Games and Asian Athletics champion. He also won a gold in the Savo Games in Finland last month.

The opening ceremony will be held on August 18 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Games will be held from August 18 to September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

In the previous edition at Incheon, South Korea, Former Hockey captain Sardar Singh was India’s flag-bearer. India had won 57 medals in 2014.
