HOLLYWOOD- The first official trailer for historical biopic Colette starring Keira Knightley as the Nobel Prize-nominated French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is out.
The story follows country women Colette’s life who marries Henry Gauthier-Villars (Dominic West) and moves to Paris. She is convinced by her husband to ghostwrite a series of novels to be published under his pen name Willy.
But her frustration takes hold of her as she does not get the recognition for her famous Claudine series. “The hand that holds the pen writes history,” she says in the trailer.
The cast includes Aiysha Hart, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough and Rebecca Root.
The film will be released in the United States of America on September 21.
